Hi! My name is Kristi! My husband's name is Aaron. I am 26, my husband is 27, and my sons are 5 (Hunter) and 3 (Dakota). My husband and I have been married for 7 years and we live in Springfield, IL.
Well, I found out that I was pregnant in February of this year and I was so excited! Then as soon as I really started to enjoy it and had told everyone, I miscarried. I was diagnosed the following week with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a genetic connective tissue disorder. I found out that my health will continue to deteriorate, and that pregnancy exacerbates my condition so it was either not have any more children or have whatever babies I wanted quick while my body could still support a pregnancy. We have been trying for another baby since then. In July I found out that I was pregnant again but I miscarried that baby in August. I was heartbroken that I had miscarried two in a row and convinced that I would likely never be able to carry a pregnancy beyond 7 weeks, and just about the time I had myself convinced of that I found out that I was pregnant again! Everything is going great this time and I am so excited. I never had a real clever way to tell my husband because he was with me when I tested and was excited right along with me. I didn't go all out to tell friends and family because I didn't want to "jinx it". They pretty much all know now but I didn't make an announcement to them. There will be two very happy big brothers in May.
