Hi! My name is Melissa, dh is Tom, dd Haley is 3, dd Megan is 18 months. My due date is May 1, but I am having an ultrasound on Oct. 17 to confirm dates and rule out twins since I seem to be extra big.
Tom and I have always known that we would like at least 4 children. We were about ready to start trying for #3 when we discovered that we were already expecting!!! Tom was waiting to hear whether he had been hired for a permanent position in the company where he had been a temp, and when I told him I thought I should test his reaction was not what I expected. He said to me, "You can test if you want, but I don't want to know till I hear about this job." Can you imagine keeping something like that to yourself for a week?!!! I was able to change his mind a couple of days later, and when the test was positive he was very surprised and happy.
After the morning sickness started at around 6 weeks, we went ahead and told our families (who were thrilled) and our 3-year-old. Of course she then told everyone she knew that Mommy has a baby growing in her tummy. Every few days she asks again just how long it will be before the baby is ready to come out!
This time around, Tom has decided that it would be fun to take a picture of me in the same clothes every week so that we can see the progress over time. We have been doing this since 5 weeks and are just starting to notice some change. I will include some of the photos when we get them developed.
